Expression of interest – Run leaders

Might you be the one we are looking for?

Broseley Joggers aim to support at least one new person per year to join our Run Leader team. We are again on the lookout for the next couple of people who want to become a Run Leader with us and that we can support to do the Leadership in Fitness training through England Athletics.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who regularly runs with our club and who is willing to support our club members in line with the aims and objectives of the club and our Club Rules (you can find these on our website if you click here )

As a club, we welcome runners of all abilities and it is the same when it comes to our run leaders. Whether you are fast or slow, run short distances or long distances, you might be just the kind of leader that our group need. As we have a team of run leaders, they regularly agree between themselves who will do what session and when. This gives us flexibility to allow run leaders to do sessions that are in line with their particular strengths or interest. It also gives run leaders chance to try out different types of sessions if they want to without feeling forced to do something they are not keen on.

How do I find out more or express my interest?

If you are wanting to find out more or just have a chat about how you might be able to fit into this role, then do approach any of our current run leaders (to be reminded of who our run leaders are click here). They will be able to answer many of your questions and share some of their experiences of being a run leader and part of the club.
If you think that this might be something for you, then tell one of the run leaders, use our contact form (click here) or send us an email to before 10 November 2018.

How will the club choose out of those who expressed an interest?

The Committee will review the expressions of interest received soon after the 10 November. Once they have decided who to proceed with, they will then notify all who expressed an interest of their decision.

The Committee and Run Leader team will consider the different aspects that the people who have put themselves forward will be able to add to the run leader team. We aim to have a run leader team that is as inclusive and mixed as possible with regards to gender, age and type of runner.
