Broseley Joggers was formed in 2013 by a small group of people from Broseley and the surrounding area. They all came with different aspirations and starting points but found the shared passion for running. It is a small, friendly road/cross country club based in the centre of Broseley.

Over the years, Broseley Joggers has maintained that friendly, local and inclusive attitude to running.

We meet twice a week rain or shine and run in and around the picturesque streets, which can take in some of the steep inclines along the way! We aim to cater for all abilities, there’s a run for everyone and we will always wait for the less experienced runners to catch up!

In the summer, drier months we head off road into the lovely Benthall Woods – these are exhilarating!

We also run up and around the Wrekin and Wenlock Edge for more of a challenge, which is well within the reach of all and a great way to get used to cross country running.

Our ethos is all about having fun, meeting people, getting out there doing the best you can!

Run leaders

The club run leaders are all volunteers who have completed the Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) course, which is sponsored by UK Athletics.  In addition they have all passed a DBS check.

The club pays for the training of the run leaders and we are  hoping to raise more funds to be able to train up more run leaders in line with the club development plan.
